A Cold War-era delta wing night/all-weather fighter (the first British jet designed specifically for the purpose). Two crew, max. Speed 610 knots, range 954 miles, armed with 4 x 30mm ADEN cannons & up to four Firestreak missiles. Built in 1959 as an FAW7, serial XH903 was upgraded to an FAW9 in 1960 after equipment/system changes, and replacement of its twin Sapphire Sa7 engines with reheated Sa7R's. It was delivered to 33 Squadron at RAF Middleton St George in 1961. Comes with a metal display stand. Approx. 24cm x 22cm x 7cm (9.5" x 8.75" x 2.75").
