Republic P-47D Thunderbolt 28RA ‘Dottie Mae’, 410th USSAF, pilot Lt Henry Mohr. High-altitude fighter and ground attack fighter-bomber. Its primary armament was eight .50-caliber machine guns, and it could carry 5-inch rockets or a bomb load of 2,500 lb (1,100 kg). “Dottie Mae" was the last Allied fighter to be lost before the end of the war in Europe. Unfortunately she was lost through mishap, rather than enemy action. Happily the pilot escaped unscathed. Diecast metal model with some plastic parts. Has rotating prop and Pilot figure.
