Qantas Airways Boeing 707-338C VH-EAI "City of Darwin" c/n 19629-737. The name V-Jet was introduced by Qantas to promote the 707's turbofan engines. The "V" being derived from "vannus" a common Latin term for "fan". Served with QANTAS until 1975, then returned "home" to RAAF service from 1983 to 2007. Metal diecast model. Polished fuselage, fixed metal landing gear, and rolling rubber wheels. Approx. 23cm x22cm (9" x 8.75"). Comes with a metal display stand.
