A Cold War-era delta wing night/all-weather fighter (the first British jet designed specifically for the purpose). The Javelin was the last aircraft to bear the Gloster name. Two crew, max. Speed 610 knots, range 954 miles, armed with 4 x 30mm ADEN cannons & up to four Firestreak missiles. XH898 was flown by Sqn Leader George Beaton, of 228 OCU, RAF Leuchars 1966.
