"Black Rufe" flown by Squadron Leader Bob Kipp and navigator Flight Lieutenant Peter Huletsky, 418 Squadron RCAF. British combat aircraft constructed almost entirely of wood. The "Mossie" was very quick, and its versatility saw it used in many roles including: daytime tactical bomber, night bomber, pathfinder, day or night fighter, fighter-bomber, intruder, maritime strike aircraft, and fast photo-reconnaissance aircraft.
