Classic Captain Scarlet Spectrum Pursuit Vehicle (SPV). Fast, armoured, and amphibious, the SPV is a ten-wheeled two-seater bullet-proof vehicle. Capable of speeds over 200 mph (322 kmph), the 25 ft long (7.62 m) SPV has no windscreen. The driver sits facing the rear, steering the vehicle by using monitor screens, and the sliding entry door incorporates the driver's seat. Each SPV is equipped with an air-conditioning plant and a proteinised food supply, enabling the crew to remain entirely self-sufficient for long periods. Armament consists of laser cannons, ground-to-air missiles and electrode ray cannons. Diecast metal model with rubber wheels and rear tracks (tracks can be lowered). The side entry door is opened by pushing down on the left-hand red rectangular panel on the roof. A Captain Scarlet figure is seated inside the door. The model also comes with two plastic missiles. The missile pop-up nose hatch is opened by pressing down on the front axle, and the missiles are fired the same way. NOTE: The missiles can be a bit tricky to load. WARNING: The spring loaded missiles have a lot of energy behind them. DO NOT aim at pets or people. DO NOT look down the ‘barrel” when firing. Fit The Box (FTB) scale, which in this case equates to around 1/52. Model is approx. 14.5cm x 6cm x 5.25cm (5.75” x 2.5” x 2”).
