  • 1/76 1940s 1950s Leyland Octopus
    The Leyland Octopus was a legendary British heavy-duty workhorse. Primarily produced from the 1930s to the 1970s, it featured eight wheels and a robust engine, allowing it to reliably haul impressive loads upwards of 17.5 tonnes. First manufactured at Leyland's Lancashire plant, the Octopus quickly became the undisputed backbone of Britain's heavy haulage industry. Its rugged 8x4 chassis and heavy-duty flatbed were widely used by major operators like British Road Services (BRS) and the British Steel Corporation. This model represents an historic 1948 to 1958 John Aizlewood Ltd Flour Mills Lorry, Fleet No. 12, Registration HDG 153. Diecast metal with some plastic parts. Perfect for British Truck collectors and OO gauge model railway enthusiasts. Approx. 11.5cm (4.5”) long.

    The AEC Mammoth Major was a heavy-duty 3-axle British truck built by the Associated Equipment Company (AEC). A legendary 8-wheeler renowned for its ability to handle payloads of up to 15 tons, and its versatility to operate across a variety of industries. This model represents the Mammoth Major dropside, Fleet Number 66E233, registration ORA 839, operated by British Road Services (BRS) under the North Derbyshire Group, 1951 to 1961. A diecast metal model with some plastic parts, and rolling wheels. Finished in BRS North Derbyshire Group livery. NOTE: sides DO NOT drop, and deck DOES NOT tip. A nice little model for British Truck fans and OO gauge railway modellers. Approx. 10cm (4”) long.

    Royal Navy Artillery AEC Matador Tractor. Large, lumbering, and low geared (with a maximum road speed of 28 mph), the Matador was unfazed by the heaviest load or muddiest field.
