Republic F-105D Thunderchief supersonic fighter-bomber 59-1822. Major Don Kutyna's "The Polish Glider", 44th Tactical Fighter Squadron, 355th Tactical Fighter Wing, Takhli, Thailand. The USAF operated F-105D's extensively against North Vietnam during Operation Rolling Thunder. Designed as a nuclear strike aircraft, the F-105 could carry over 12,000 pounds of conventional ordnance. Affectionately nicknamed the "Thud".  A bit of a scary beast. Comes with crew figure. Detachable ordnance and opening canopy. Landing gear can be displayed up or down.
