Corgi 1/72 1971 Blackburn Buccaneer S.2 XV361

Watch out all you seafarers, there's a Buccaneer on the horizon!! i.e. A Blackburn Buccaneer (classic 1960s/70s low-level attack jet). Low-level subsonic attack aircraft built for carrier-based operations. Capable of carrying nuclear and conventional weapons, the Buccaneer featured bomb bay doors that rotated into the fuselage to expose its payload (traditional doors couldn't be used at high speed/low-altitude). It also featured a rear-mounted air brake with two large leaves that, when opened, quickly decelerated the aircraft. This also reduced the aircraft's stored length in the carrier. XV361 first flew in 1968 and served on HMS Eagle. Not only is this a really interesting aircraft, it is a fantastic model. Limited to 1000 pieces world wide.
