The Maserati MC12 is a limited production two-seater sports car developed to allow a racing variant to compete in the FIA GT Championship, and signal Maserati's return to racing after 37 years. A total of 50 cars were produced from 2004 to 2005 each being pre-sold at US$670,541 a pop. The top speed of the Maserati MC12 is 330 kilometres per hour (205 mph).
